Located in Los Angeles, CA, this 6,244 sq. ft. property stands on a 4,865 sq. ft. lot. It includes 4 units with a total of 16 bedrooms and 12 baths, offering an upscale blend of multi-unit construction and contemporary styling.
The Coronado project showcases what’s possible when modern architecture, efficient multi-unit construction, and thoughtful site planning all come together. We built two three-story duplexes on a hillside lot, which required the installation of retaining walls around both the site and the structure. This attention to the unique landscape not only kept the property secure but also allowed us to preserve valuable square footage for each unit.
Each duplex features private rooftop lounges, creating an outdoor oasis above the city bustle. We relied on structural steel for the building’s skeleton, which made it possible to incorporate striking cantilevers for extra living space and a covered carport below. By leaning into a modern design approach—clean lines, open layouts, and an emphasis on natural light—we were able to craft a refined yet welcoming environment across all four units.
From initial planning to finishing touches, our aim was to deliver a balanced mix of form and function. The result is a small-lot subdivision that feels bright, spacious, and perfectly tuned to its hillside location—proving that multi-unit development can still offer character and comfort.
Take a closer look at the Coronado build in the gallery below. You’ll see sweeping exterior views that highlight the property’s contemporary lines, along with interior shots revealing open-concept layouts, airy staircases, and modern kitchens. Notice the thoughtful use of materials—wood accents, glass railings, and neutral color palettes—to keep the units feeling polished and inviting.
We believe these images tell the story of a project designed to make the most of its surroundings while still offering the perks of multi-unit living. Whether you’re inspired by the roof-top lounges or curious about how we managed hillside construction, our hope is that Coronado sparks fresh ideas for what’s possible in your next development.
